Westminster Insurance is celebrating its 70th birthday and is looking to expand its national network of Approved Representatives. Westminster Insurance is a trading name of Clegg Gifford – a national broker at Lloyd’s and is part of a group which comprises of Branch and Appointed Representatives’ offices throughout the UK.
We are looking for dynamic and ambitious individuals keen to build their own book of business.
The ideal candidate would be someone with existing insurance / broking experience who is capable of establishing a good rapport with clients.

We have an experienced group of staff who are available to help with all aspects of the business from policy inception to renewal.
As a Westminster Appointed Representative you will have access to our suite of software and IT systems. These systems will enable you to run an efficient, service driven platform which will only enhance the customer experience. Your IT system should mirror how insurance is now increasingly being digitally driven, which is something we are focussed on.
Regulation:
Entering the insurance market means you must meet and maintain the regulatory requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority. Becoming an AR moves the ultimate regulatory relationship from you, the intermediary, to us, the Principal. Although responsibility is with you to adhere to the controls, guidelines and regulations, we will assist you in understanding the requirements and undertake audits accordingly to provide oversight and guidance.
Our Compliance team conduct regular horizon scans to inform our network of regulatory changes which may affect your business. As your Principal, we will provide governance frameworks and advice in line with FCA requirements.
